- ➤ Padre Island’s famous Bob Hall Pier is set to welcome anglers again when it reopens as soon as February. Construction is nearly complete and local leaders say the new pier will boost business on the island. KIII-TV
- ➤ The YMCA of the Coastal Bend rebranded as Corpus Christi Community Center yesterday on social media after cutting ties with its national brand. The center (86 years strong) assured neighbors that day-to-day operations remain unchanged. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Gulf Coast Humane Society welcomes pet adoptions 7 days a week off Cabaniss Parkway, and Whole Pets Market on Airline is hosting an adoption event Friday (1 to 5). KIII-TV
- ➤ The Caller-Times Children's Christmas Appeal raised $29,561 for South Texas children in need in 2025; now in its 52nd year the fundraiser directly helped local families receive holiday gifts + bolster community hope. Caller Times
