  • Corpus Christi is drilling wells in rural Nueces County to pull groundwater from the Evangeline Aquifer amid historic low levels — eight wells produce 8 million gallons daily while landowners report decreased well pressure, prompting residents to seek a conservation district.  The Texas Tribune
  • On Jan. 12, Corpus Christi's water sources hit historic lows with Lake Corpus Christi at 11.6% and Choke Canyon Reservoir at 9.4%, totaling about 10% capacity. Officials said the level does not trigger a Level 1 Emergency since eastern sources supply 65% — production by May may delay an emergency.  Caller Times
