- ➤ Officials report that despite the arctic blast, all roadways in the Harbor Bridge Project limits, including US 181, IH 37, and SH 286, remain open with aggressive pretreatment efforts conducted Saturday night; drivers are advised to use caution on secondary routes if conditions worsen. - ➤ As extreme cold affects the area, Corpus Christi, Robstown, Jim Wells, San Patricio, and Bee County have opened warming centers and shelters offering free transportation, meals & showers, and pet care. Some centers, which began operating Saturday, will run through Tuesday if weather remains harsh. KIII-TV
- ➤ Ingleside on the Bay residents are worried that abandoned boats sinking in Ingleside Cove for two months pose a safety hazard with missing anchor lights & risk a collision with boats. They contacted the Port, Coast Guard, Texas Parks and Wildlife & GLO, which said removal is lengthy and costly. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ South Texas Lighthouse for the Blind appeared on Domingo Live & invited locals to join the Blind Love 5K at Cole Park, offering a chance to celebrate community spirit in a fun, inclusive event. KIII-TV

ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A deadly crash last Thursday at CR 36 + CR 77 in Robstown killed a father and his two children, prompting local residents to ask for safety improvements; Mayor Mary-Ann Saenz said lighted stop signs will be installed to help prevent future accidents. KIII-TV
- ➤ A homeowner’s attempt to keep a tree warm during the freeze triggered a small brush fire on Bali Drive today — Nueces County ESD 2 crews contained the blaze without damaging any nearby homes. KRIS 6 News

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Corpus Christi Catholic schools are set to offer tuition vouchers through the Texas Education Freedom Accounts program, providing up to $10,474 for general tuition and up to $30,000 for students with disabilities.
