- ➤ Corpus Christi honors the 81st anniversary of the Battle of Iwo Jima with a commemorative ceremony at Sherrill Veterans Memorial Park (222 South Shoreline Boulevard) today at 10 a.m. The event will feature a parade of colors and tributes from dignitaries. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ The new Bob Hall Pier on Padre Island is built with 200 pop-off panels — designed to detach during storm surges so that its concrete and steel foundation remains intact during hurricanes.
