- ➤ Corpus Christi will begin renovation of three fields at Greenwood Sports Complex on the Westside next month to serve Westside Pony Baseball, Universal Little League and Sparkling City Youth Softball as part of the $7M Bond 2022 project (adding new lighting, irrigation, bleachers and dugouts) aimed at boosting local sports. - ➤ On Feb. 24, the rebuilt Bob Hall Pier on North Padre Island opened and offered free access for 90 days. The 1,253-ft structure is built for a 50-year lifespan — officials said construction continues on the restaurant and concession area. Caller Times
