- ➤ Two years after Texas A&M-Corpus Christi student Caleb Harris died, the community honored him by dedicating Caleb’s Crossing on Ennis Joslin Road — the bridge displays a banner donated by MVP Banners while police investigations remain active. KIII-TV
- ➤ Corpus Christi firefighters have launched the 2026 Fill the Boot campaign to support families with muscular dystrophy and neuromuscular diseases in the Coastal Bend. They will collect donations at city intersections on March 13, 20, and 27. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Nueces County completed a $4 million renovation of Oil Belt Little League Park in NW Nueces County to upgrade restrooms, concession stands, storage, lighting and playing fields for over 800 youth athletes (including improvements for Little Miss Kickball leagues). KRIS 6 News

- ➤ Today, Gregory-Portland ISD opened its new Operations and Family Resource Center on North Gregory Avenue (funded by Bond 2023), consolidating transportation, maintenance, technology, and safety departments while offering community services like a food pantry, clothing closet, and meeting space. - ➤ Corpus Christi ISD named Denise Caldera, a bilingual kindergarten teacher at Galvan Elementary, and Martha Buendia, a math teacher at King High School, as Teachers of the Year on March 4; they will now compete regionally on April 21 at Veterans Memorial High School. Caller Times

- ➤ Mathis is drilling a new groundwater well near FM 1068 as drought puts Lake Corpus Christi at risk; officials will test the water for blending and finish plant upgrades in 60 to 90 days to secure the supply. KIII-TV

- ➤ Delays in two groundwater projects and regulatory pushback have made a water emergency more likely in Corpus Christi, possibly arriving sooner than projected for November. City Manager Peter Zanoni said a hearing scheduled on Mar. 17 will present revised estimates for curtailment decisions + details on production plans. Caller Times
- ➤ Belden Street closes (for up to 72 hours) at 9 a.m. today between N. Tancahua and N. Mesquite for demolition work on Harbor Bridge approaches as part of the $1.3 billion replacement project. Officials advise drivers to use detours via N. Chaparral, E. Port, and N. Tancahua streets. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Corpus Christi fire officials said hydrants are cracked open during inspections under water restrictions to check for water supply and leaks. City crews also flush dead-end lines to bring in fresh water for quality. KRIS 6 News
