- ➤ Funeral services for local Native American advocate Larry Running Turtle Salazar have been announced following his death on March 16. His loved ones will recite a Holy Rosary at 6:30 p.m. tomorrow at Holy Family Catholic Church (2509 Nogales and MacArthur Street) and hold a funeral mass at 1:00 p.m. with interment at 3:00 p.m. on Friday at Memory Gardens Cemetery. - ➤ Authorities responded (after reports) to an animal hoarding case at a Padre Island home where 65 abandoned cats were found; neighbors still see stray cats (after the sweep) in the area. KIII-TV
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ A house fire broke out Tuesday morning at a vacant home on Blake Street near Baldwin Boulevard where a parked vehicle also caught fire, although no one was injured (the Corpus Christi Fire Department is investigating and noted damage to the back of the house). KRIS 6 News
- ➤ On Monday night at about 10:15 p.m., a 41-year-old woman was struck by a car at the Airline & Holly intersection and died at the hospital. KRIS 6 News
