ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ A wildfire in Kenedy County burned 2,300 acres and is now 85% contained, according to Texas A&M Forest Service, with crews set to continue mop-up operations on Saturday to extinguish smoldering hotspots. KIII-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ TxDOT has resumed closing the eastbound SH-358 exit ramp to Airline Road Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. as part of the South Padre Island Drive Ramp Reversal Project; drivers should plan alternate routes as one-way access on the eastbound frontage road is limited for about two weeks.
