  • Corpus Christi’s SandFest 2026 will run for three days and feature amazing sand art, live music, local food and shopping for family fun. The festival will soon energize beachside communities with creative displays and lively entertainment.  KIII-TV

  • Over 100 high school students showcased their skills at the Agriculture Engineering Contest held at Texas A&M Kingsville today and the top three teams will compete at the state level on April 10.  KRIS 6 News
  • TAMUCC's Project Seaside (Student Engagement and Advancement for Strategic and Innovative Dynamics in Education) offers full scholarships and stipends to juniors and seniors pursuing special education, and eight students can apply if they meet a 3.0 GPA requirement; the deadline is April 1.  KRIS 6 News
  • Corpus Christi ISD is removing all references to César Chávez from its curriculum (following the Texas Education Agency’s directive) after new allegations emerged. The district will update textbooks and instructional guides while no campus closures or holiday events are affected.  Caller Times

  • A 100 MGD desal project planned for Harbor Island (near Aransas Pass) already has all capacity committed, as local officials warn that water supplies across South Texas are at risk if action is not taken soon.  KIII-TV

  • Officials at a recent State of Our Water event in Aransas Pass said the proposed 100 million gallon desalination campus at Harbor Island is already fully sold out and a private partner will be chosen within two to three weeks to begin construction amid growing regional water demands.  KIII-TV
