CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ For the first time since 2010, a 3/4-scale replica of the Vietnam Veterans Memorial known as The Wall That Heals arrived in Corpus Christi, covering a full soccer field—measuring 374 feet—and honoring 58,281 service members who died in the Vietnam War. It opens today at 9 a.m.—with ceremonies, hourly school tours, and veterans sharing their stories—and will remain on display until Sunday afternoon. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ Metro Elementary students will perform Seussical Jr. on Friday and Saturday — director Desiree Cantu and actor Liam urge Corpus Christi residents to attend the production. KIII-TV
- ➤ Construction is underway at Tuloso-Midway ISD for a new $40 million career and technical education center after a groundbreaking event on March 26. The project will modernize a facility that has not been updated since 1984 and use $8.3 million to upgrade the school's swimming center. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ Rain began Wednesday afternoon and heavy rain fell overnight into early Thursday — totals are expected to reach 3 to 7 inches and a Flood Watch is in effect until Friday noon. Forecasts say showers will taper off and move out by Friday afternoon. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ Council Member Eric Cantu asked to have the Far Field study discussed, but officials already began the study to check how the plant may harm the bay—raising questions about transparency. Council Member Gil Hernandez and others challenged the sudden change in cost estimates and schedule—worrying that the process was not clear. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Alyssa Barrera Mason, executive director of the Downtown Management District, will resign after seven years of service and leave on April 17—she is moving with her family to Houston. She will begin a role with Downtown Houston later this spring—an interim director will be named at the next board meeting in April. Caller Times
