- ➤ Neighbors gathered at Veterans Memorial High School on March 29 to honor Vietnam War veterans at the annual Vietnam Veterans Day celebration. The event featured a replica of the Washington, D.C. memorial wall (marking the second time in five years it was brought to Corpus Christi) to connect the community with local history. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Portland's Windfest is a 50-year-old spring event that features a kite flying expo, parade, carnival and concerts—raising funds for nonprofits like the Portland Chamber of Commerce. City officials say the event continues to evolve with the city's growth and raised about $308,000 last year. KIII-TV

- ➤ CCPD cracked down on dangerous driving overnight by arresting three drivers for speeding - one driver was recorded traveling more than double the posted speed limit. KIII-TV
- ➤ Corpus Christi police arrested a man after they surrounded his home following a warrant for his arrest, and SWAT was on scene (as a precaution) during the operation. KIII-TV

- ➤ On Saturday, March 29, Corpus Christi held its 24th annual César Chávez Marcha on Agnes Street to celebrate the civil rights activist—marchers boarded a local transit bus and chanted along the route. Caller Times
