- ➤ Corpus Christi police arrested nine drivers for reckless driving this weekend after recording speeds far above the limit—some were charged with racing, carrying handguns, or possessing illegal drugs, and all vehicles were impounded. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Yesterday marked the 30th anniversary of Selena's death when Yolanda Saldívar shot the Tejano singer outside a Days Inn on Navigation Boulevard—her killing in 1995 remains a tragic loss for the music community. KIII-TV

- ➤ Kemp's Ridley Sea Turtle nesting season runs from April through July and ARK staff in Port Aransas warn beachgoers to drive slowly on the beach to protect the endangered turtles as they lay eggs near the dunes (officials advise calling a hotline if a nesting turtle is seen). KRIS 6 News
