- ➤ Tuloso Midway ISD is proposing a $140M bond package for 2026 to improve all four campuses—repair roofs, upgrade tech, and modernize classrooms. The district will hold a community meeting on Monday, Apr. 6 to answer questions. Action 10 News
- ➤ Calallen ISD Superintendent Emily Lorenz announced on April 2 that she will leave at the end of the school year after being named the lone finalist for superintendent at Medina Valley ISD. She led the district for four years (beginning in 2015) and has worked in Coastal Bend education since 2007. Caller Times

- ➤ As lake levels drop, Corpus Christi officials say Nueces River wells are producing millions of gallons of water daily — a measure to stabilize the city's water supply. The move aims to keep water reliable for local households. KIII-TV
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Orange Grove City Council hired a hydrogeologist and environmental lawyers on April 3 to address dropping aquifer levels that could push the city into a water emergency by summer (meeting with Corpus Christi officials helped share critical data).
