  • Nearly 20 food trucks took part in the 10th annual Corpus Christi Food Truck Festival held near American Bank Center on April 5, and many visitors sampled dishes like Mexican fare, barbecue, and brisket quesadilla—while some found mixed flavors in what they tried.   • On Friday, Corpus Christi police responded at 1:45 p.m. and found an unidentified elderly man dead on the side of Interstate Highway 69 in the Calallen area — he was struck by a vehicle and the investigation is ongoing.  Caller Times

  • City manager Peter Zanoni said the mall must remove debris by Tuesday or risk a lien—an on-call contractor secured the fencing and cleared debris on Wednesday to address safety hazards at the demolition site.  KIII-TV
