- ➤ On Friday, Steel Dynamics donated $200,000 to the Sinton Fire Relief Fund to match local donations for wildfire recovery — the contribution came after many residents were displaced by the Welder Fire. KIII-TV
ACCIDENTS NEWS
- ➤ Wildfires near Rockport forced the Highway 35 bypass to close until 5 p.m. on April 10 and 16th Street to shut down—firefighters later reported that the Salt Flats fire was 95 percent contained and the Aransas Woods fire reached full containment by Friday evening. KIII-TV
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Yesterday, CCISD students competed at Veterans Memorial High in the district’s first-ever welding competition as they tackled technical welds (including an open V with a backing strip) that were judged by certified welding inspectors.
