Good morning, Corpus Christi.

Goodwill Industries of South Texas held its Earth Month E-Waste Collection Drive Saturday outside the La Palmera Mall parking lot so residents could drop off old electronics for safe recycling—organizers say the event helped protect our environment.

A widespread transmission outage on Corpus Christi’s southside left about 6,000 customers without power at 9:30 p.m. Saturday.

Investigators are working with homeowners and fire personnel to find what caused the blaze that damaged a home under renovation—more details will emerge soon.

Drought conditions have affected Corpus Christi and many residents have started buying rain barrels to collect water.

Residents plan to use the barrels & supplemental irrigation as the water supply falls & demand remains high.
