Today the 87th annual Buc Days Festival opened in Corpus Christi with rides, games, and robotics competitions that offer scholarship opportunities—organized by the Buc Days Commission, the event will run for 11 days to benefit local students.

Officials at a rural school district voted Tuesday to start tax break negotiations with ExxonMobil for a $10 billion plastics plant north of Corpus Christi.
