- ➤ Chick-fil-A restaurants in the Coastal Bend are donating 10,000 free meal cards to teachers during Teacher Appreciation Week from May 4-8. Teachers can redeem the cards for a Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich or 8-count Nuggets at participating locations. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ A nearly four-year flood mitigation project is complete in Petronila — it is designed to keep homes and roads dry after as little as four inches of rain, officials said. A drainage groundbreaking for Belk Lake is scheduled for Monday, May 11 at 10:00 a.m. at 2391 Co Rd in Robstown. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Vietnam veterans who served aboard the USNS Corpus Christi Bay gathered in Corpus Christi for what they said will likely be their final reunion — marking the end of a long-standing tradition. KIII-TV
