- ➤ Corpus Christi community members gathered for the 18th Annual TOKC Tournament—a sold-out event with 35 teams honoring James Ragan and raising funds for pediatric cancer research. The TOKC Foundation said the money will support a phase 2 drug trial at MD Anderson and an immunotherapy trial at Texas Children’s Hospital, and the fundraising weekend will continue with the Toga Party Fundraiser. - ➤ Today, Corpus Christi residents can register for Pre-K and kindergarten at the Instructional Resource Center from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., attend a Community Court session at Garcia Library from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., and honor veterans at an Armed Forces ceremony at Ben Garza Gym at 10 a.m.—in nearby Alice, a Disaster Resource Center will help with storm recovery on May 21, tonight features a ghost hunt aboard the USS Lexington with a Saturday morning tour, and summer swim lessons open June 2 at the Natatorium. - ➤ Corpus Christi fire crews put out a house fire at 8 a.m. on Washington and Dunbar near Rose Shaw Elementary, and officials reported no injuries since the house was abandoned. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi graduates its record-breaking class of over 1,400 students today in fields such as engineering and nursing. Del Mar College celebrated more than 700 graduates on Friday — including over 100 dual enrollment students — with its ceremony held at 7 p.m. at the American Bank Center. KIII-TV
