- ➤ After years of waiting, VFW Post 2932 has installed a vintage UH-1 Iroquois helicopter display to replace the one lost to Hurricane Harvey in 2017. - ➤ A Corpus Christi Independent School District police officer, Ashley Transmeier, 29, was taken into custody Monday morning in Ingleside after officers responded to a shooting on Capehart Street that left veteran paramedic Albert 'Bert' Howie dead—she now faces a first-degree murder charge.
