- ➤ Caller-Times published a photo review of May events that documented local sports meets, festivals and school celebrations in Corpus Christi and the Coastal Bend. The images showed activities like the Buc Days Carnival, Beach to Bay Relay Marathon and UIL competitions (and others) that marked a busy month for the community. Caller Times
- ➤ On May 31, the Coastal Bend Food Bank held its first Saturday distribution—575 families received food, including 105 new families which marked an 18% rise in demand. Organizers plan to hold more distributions during the summer to help families when children are home from school. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ More than 9,300 runners, including 290 solo finishers, competed on May 31 in the 48th Beach to Bay Relay Marathon in Corpus Christi. Terry Palmer won the solo race in 3 hours and 3 minutes while Creekside Elementary’s Jayceon Gonzalez helped his team win first in the Elementary Odds & Ends division — finishing 63rd overall.
