- ➤ Violent Crimes Traffic units arrested three people over the past few evenings—19-year-old Juan Ortiz Munoz on Ocean Drive for speeding and dangerous lane changes, 22-year-old Tanner Loesch on Ocean Drive for reckless driving, unlawful weapon carrying and marijuana possession, and 19-year-old Hailey Campos near Airline and Williams for erratic driving, marijuana possession and tampering—as part of their ongoing traffic enforcement operation. - ➤ On June 14, Corpus Christi hosted its inaugural Mister and Miss Juneteenth Corpus Christi Coronation Ball at the Art Center, where Mayor Paulette Guajardo signed a proclamation honoring a leadership program that showcased local Black students. Caller Times

- ➤ Texas lawmakers passed bills that ease building rules by allowing smaller homes on smaller lots—and reducing neighbor objections—to boost housing supply in large cities.
