- ➤ The Diocese of Corpus Christi celebrated the ordination of three new priests—siblings who answered the call to serve—and welcomed them into ministry. KIII-TV
- ➤ Habitat for Humanity Corpus Christi announced that former city councilmember Ben Molina will serve as interim executive director starting July 16th to replace Steven Pierce, who will step down after leading the organization in expanding local partnerships and breaking ground on new homes+ the board is now searching for a permanent leader. - ➤ Aransas Pass police found a body in heavy brush on Monday near the Transfer Station—officials say the victim was hard to recognize—and have sent it to a Corpus Christi lab for DNA testing as they work to confirm its identity. KIII-TV

- ➤ Today, Texas DPS started Operation CARE to boost highway safety over the holiday weekend as officers will target speeders, suspected drunk drivers and those ignoring traffic laws—last year's efforts issued nearly 60,000 warnings and citations, including over 5,000 for speeding and more than 200 for DWI. - ➤ Corpus Christi Housing Authority was notified by the Texas Municipal League Intergovernmental Risk Pool that its insurance will not be renewed after October 1 due to concerns over controversial public-private tax-exempt deals affecting $350 million in local housing. Today, the board rejected pending deals and must secure alternative coverage by September 30 as it shifts toward traditional housing support. KRIS 6 News
