Good morning, Corpus Christi.

A Port Aransas church is organizing a fundraiser to help flood victims while search and rescue efforts continue in the Hill Country.

During their concert on Saturday at Concrete Street Amphitheater — part of their Vive el Momento Tour — La Mafia paused to ask the crowd to pray for families affected by flash floods near Kerrville that caused several deaths.

Lead singer Oscar De La Rosa dedicated the song Vida to honor those who lost their lives in the floods.

The Texas State Aquarium drew record visitor numbers over Fourth of July weekend during its 35th anniversary celebration; staff said over 4,500 guests attended on Friday and nearly double that count was expected by weekend’s end.

The milestone highlighted its role in local tourism—more than half of its guests came from out-of-town—especially from San Antonio and Austin.
