EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Ben Bolt-Palito Blanco Elementary School began work on a new wing using an $8 million bond approved by local voters on Aug. 28 — the project will add eight classrooms and update older buildings for more than 400 students with work to finish by early next year. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ City council delayed the vote on the Inner Harbor desal project until next week after state officials met with Mayor Guajardo and Councilwoman Vaughn to review the project’s early 10% design and rising $1.2 billion cost—citing concerns over affordability.
