  • Nueces County residents recently found that salt levels in the Nueces River reached 2,873 and 3,300 total dissolved solids—almost five times the federal safe limit—as emergency wells draw water from the Evangeline Aquifer amid a prolonged drought.   • Former NCESD No. 4 Fire Chief Lloyd Bluntzer, fired in January 2024, disputed a forensic audit linking board members to questionable Humvee purchases—he said the board knew the rules and that all missing equipment was later accounted for.  Action 10 News

  • More than 44 boxers will take part in the fifth annual Knockout Breast Cancer event at Whataburger Field on Saturday, October 4 at 7pm to raise awareness and support cancer research.
