- ➤ The Junior League of Corpus Christi hosted its free ROCKETS STEM event on Oct. 25 at the Corpus Christi Gym, drawing dozens of local students to take part in hands-on science experiments—an initiative aimed at sparking future STEM careers. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Gregory-Portland Independent School District held a ribbon-cutting Saturday morning at the high school to open its new all-purpose facility. The building — with locker rooms, robotics classrooms, a golf simulator and other amenities — will serve students during the school year, according to Superintendent Michelle Cavazos. KRIS 6 News
