Good morning, Corpus Christi.

Domingo Live is spotlighting local charity The Purple Door as part of the 2025 Coastal Bend Day of Giving — a move that emphasizes the local community's efforts to support neighbors.

Texas A&M-Corpus Christi will host a free lecture on Oct.

28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. in Lonestar Ballroom C—where survivor Miyako Jodai and advocate Fumie Kakita will share firsthand accounts of the Nagasaki atomic bomb to promote peace.

The Garcia Arts & Education Center will host a Día de los Muertos Fiesta on Oct.30 — featuring art activities, a candy giveaway and a Raku ceramics demo.

Corpus Christi leaders are asking the state for an exemption (to keep downtown’s decorative crosswalks and murals safe) after Gov. Abbott’s safety order calls for their removal.

Crews are preparing to lower the six-million-pound center span of the Old Harbor Bridge—an important step in its removal that will advance the dismantling project in the coming days.

As families prepare for Halloween, safety officials advise parents to keep kids visible and stick to sidewalks—also reminding them to check candy before it is consumed.

These tips aim to prevent accidents and ensure a safe trick-or-treating experience.
