- ➤ Mathis High School FFA students transformed a storage room into a community closet called The Treasure Chest to offer free clothing, hygiene products, school supplies and food to anyone in need. The project will open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.—donations can be dropped off at the high school's front office. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ Coastal Bend Blood Center will host its 13th annual 'Hunting for Donors' blood drive as the need for donations rises during the holidays — the event is planned to support local blood supplies. KIII-TV
