- ➤ South Texas Botanical Gardens and Nature Center will host its Holly-Days celebration starting tomorrow through December 20, offering eco-friendly art, Santa visits, hayrides, and holiday crafts on select Friday and Saturday evenings from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at 8545 S. Staples St.—visitors will also see a 20-foot lighted fir tree and eco art made from recycled plastic bottles creating a green winter display. KRIS 6 News

- ➤ Ten students completed Texas A&M-Kingsville's first Clinical Medical Assistant Program at the new Alice location on Monday and received certificates at a Jim Wells County Commissioners' Court meeting led by Judge Pete Trevino — the 15-week course included 160 hours of training and qualifies them to take the NHA exam on December 1.
