  • Construction on Norton Street near Sam Houston Elementary School is changing traffic patterns by making the street one-way westbound from Ramsey Street to Cambridge Drive—access to the school and nearby homes remains available. Motorists are advised to follow posted signs, allow extra time, and use alternate routes as the project continues until December.  KRIS 6 News
  • Nueces County officials said the Bob Hall Pier construction will be delayed until mid-February 2026 after Callan Marine failed to finish the concrete precast beams needed to meet the January 7 deadline — county representatives said work will continue while liquidated damages are applied to the contractor.  Caller Times
  • Corpus Christi city council rejected a proposed bar on November 18 — after reports of break-ins and disturbances at a local Westside church — that would have opened too close to the church under the 300-foot alcohol ordinance. The church, which has been a community fixture for over 25 years, welcomed the decision as a safeguard for its congregation and nearby residents.  KRIS 6 News

  • The median home listing price in Nueces County was $344,350 in October—down 1.3% from last month—while the price per square foot fell to $202 and new listings rose by 15.4%, with homes spending 92 days on the market.  Caller Times
