- ➤ On Saturday night, Nueces County Constable Oscar Mendoza Jr. hosted his 5th annual Christmas toy drive concert & dance at the High Chaparral Stars Dance Club in Robstown, with over 800 attendees helping to fund holiday gifts for children in need. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Hundreds attended Constable Oscar Mendoza Jr.'s 5th annual Christmas Toy Drive, Concert and Dance Saturday night at High Chaparral Stars Dance Hall on U.S. 77 in Robstown; local bands including Los Arias performed as fees will fund toys for needy children across Nueces County. KRIS 6 News
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Sections of the Lawrence Street T-Head are closed today for utility work linked to a pier replacement project. The area near Joe's Crab Shack will remain closed for about 2-month while crews work, though visitors can still access other parts of the T-Head. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Robstown residents hear a new emergency warning siren during testing. The system — funded by Nueces County — sounds every Monday and Saturday at noon and uses different tones to alert for severe weather and emergencies. KRIS 6 News
- ➤ Temporary lane and shoulder closures will affect both directions of the Harbor Bridge tonight through Thursday, Dec. 12 to allow crews to adjust the bridge lighting (which may cause delays). KRIS 6 News
