Good morning, Corpus Christi.

HEB's 37th annual Feast of Sharing delivered over 340,000 meals to families on Saturday at the Hilliard Center in Corpus Christi — a tradition since 1989 — and brought holiday cheer to locals across Texas and Mexico.

Early Friday morning, local nonprofits (Salvation Army and Catholic Charities) and residents gathered for the annual memorial to honor those lost to homelessness; attendees later released flowers into the bay to symbolize remembrance as community leaders urged stronger support for vulnerable neighbors.

Corpus Christi residents honor Julian Galloway, a brave boy who battled brain cancer and served as an honorary officer — a tribute shared by CCPD on Thursday — after he passed away on Wednesday.

Saturday morning, the fifth annual toy giveaway at La Tiendita in Gregory offered free toys, cookies, treats and a moon jump — a festive partnership with Deal Depot spread holiday cheer in the community.
